Daily puzzles for after the Connections board

What Connections offers beyond today's board, and free daily word and logic puzzles on Gamefinity for the rest of your morning.

A Connections board takes a few minutes, and then the day's puzzle is gone until after midnight. This page explains what the New York Times offers beyond the daily board, then lists Gamefinity's free daily puzzles that suit the same habit: one short set a day, shared by every player, with a single go at it.

What Connections itself offers

The daily puzzle is free on the New York Times website and in the NYT Games app. Every earlier puzzle lives in the Connections Archive, which opened in October 2024 with more than 450 boards going back to the first one in June 2023. It lets you resume unfinished games and see your stats, and it is only for New York Times Games and All Access subscribers. There is no official unlimited or random mode.

Look up an unlimited Connections and you will come across sites that use its name to replay or imitate its puzzles. They do not come from the Times, and this page does not link to them.

Daily word and knowledge puzzles

These four deal one shared set a day and take a minute or two each, which makes them easy to line up after the grid.

Is there an unlimited Connections?

Not an official one. The New York Times publishes one puzzle a day and keeps the rest in its archive for subscribers. The practice modes of the games listed above are a free way to keep puzzling after the day's board.

When does a new Connections puzzle come out?

Each day after midnight. Several of the daily games on this page, including Common Ground, Daily IQ and Daily Trivia, start a new day at midnight Eastern Time.

Are these daily games free?

Yes. They are all Gamefinity games, free in any browser on a phone or a computer, and each daily set is the same for every player that day.
